Twilight Zone是荷蘭籍的老牌搖滾樂團Golden Earring在1982年的作品，說他們是搖滾樂團，還真是又搖又滾，他們當年曾是典型迷幻搖滾的代表。什麼是迷幻搖滾？它主要流行在1960年代中期到1970年代中期嘻皮運動(Hippie)正興之時，一些玩音樂的人，藉由吸食迷幻藥後那種幻聽幻暈的飄飄然境界來填詞譜曲，有趣的是他們在藥力消退清醒後，發現自己在“神遊”時所創作的音樂，居然大大超越平日的水平，簡直是無法想像的潛在力。這就像唐玄宗在夢中聽得“霓裳羽衣曲”，醒後尋遍樂師樂工，無一人能奏其旋律一般。
有關迷幻搖滾網路上很多資料可找到，在此不贅述。今天只簡單說Golden Earring這個樂團。成員全是荷蘭人，他成軍於1961年，是最早打入英美流行音樂圈的歐洲團體，算算現在已經差不多要50年了。他們早期的歌曲我不熟悉，畢竟他們走紅的時候我還沒出生，要不是他們在1982年的時候那首Twilight Zone進入排行榜，可能我永遠不會知道他們的。
Twilight Zone這首曲子有短(MV版)、長(Live Unplugged版)各一，全曲由吉他及鼓演奏，這是典型的搖滾組合，而其中有把吉他為主奏律，同時扮演類似貝斯角色貫穿全曲，如果照Live版的影片來看，他們全用的是傳統製吉他，非常酷，完全是unplugged的專業水準，不愧是祖父級的搖滾宗師！
